Francis Van Remoortel

Francis Van Remoortel obtained his law degrees from the Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix (Namur) and the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Leuven), cum laude, as well as a master’s degree in European Law from the Institut d’Etudes européennes (Université libre de Bruxelles), magna cum laude. During his fourth year of law school, he studied a semester at Northwestern University (Chicago), where his paper on the data protection statutes of Belgium, France and the Netherlands was published.

Francis is admitted at the Kortrijk bar since 2003.

Francis mainly deals with business law (including intellectual property, unfair trade practices and distribution) and private banking law.

Meanwhile he is also completing a master’s degree in intellectual property rights at the Katholieke Universiteit Brussel – Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (2005 – 2007).

Francis is an active member of Junior Chamber International, Kortrijk.

He speaks fluent Dutch, French and English.
